Usually this is almost all of the information needed to describe your identity for any official procedures. These things describe you as someone for most people in a given society and a picture of you is thus made. How that picture looks depends on where you are. In one area you are treated differently than you would be in another according their particular puzzle of knowledge, information, impressions and experiences. So in the end it’s just a system in which one side (society) receives a code from the other side (you), encodes them and reads it in one way or another and vice-versa.
There are given pieces of identity, like sex, time and place of birth. These factors can lead to some decisions, and turn the life one way or another.
There is another type of identity, which you seek or follow or which you reach as a result of decisions and events, which were in turn caused by your previous choices and different influences.
No doubt, identity is a multi-faceted structure. It changes over time and develops with the individual.
In making this project I tried to reveal a picture of myself as I am and have been since I was a child at home all the way up to my present situation when I signed a work contract for a photography studio in Saudi Arabia. How much of my awareness concerning myself has changed in these years and how much is still in development? Every job I have had, every place I have lived, what I have studied and what I have experienced has made its mark and shifted my value systems. It brought me the ability to be in a situation but at the same time to be able to look at it from the outside.
